Chemical Peel Pre-Care Instructions
Preparing your skin for your chemical peel treatment is essential for achieving optimal results and minimizing potential complications. Proper preparation helps condition the skin, improve treatment outcomes, and reduce the risk of irritation or adverse reactions.
Immediately Before Treatment:
Your skin should be in a healthy, balanced state prior to treatment. Proper preparation supports even penetration of the peel and reduces the risk of complications.
Avoid direct sun exposure. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily as directed.
Maintain hydration of the skin using appropriate medical-grade products.
Continue approved iS Clinical products unless otherwise directed by your provider.
Medical-Grade Skincare Regimen
Your skin should be in a healthy, balanced state prior to treatment. Proper preparation supports even penetration of the peel and reduces the risk of complications. It is strongly recommended that you begin a medical-grade skincare routine at least 2–4 weeks before your chemical peel treatment. This preparation helps condition your skin, improve treatment outcomes, and reduce the risk of complications.
Essential Pre-Treatment Products:
Use a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser morning and evening.
Anti-Inflammatory Agents such as Pro-Heal Serum help prepare the skin.
Hydrating serums such as Hydra-Cool Serum, Reparative Moisture Emulsion, or Daily Dynamic Hydrator help maintain skin hydration and barrier function. Well-hydrated skin responds better to chemical peel treatments.
Broad-Spectrum Sunscreen (SPF 30 or Higher)
Apply daily, even on cloudy days. Reapply every 2 hours when outdoors.
Sun protection is critical before and after your peel.
